Not sure if the truck oil pan size is different, but my '12 Challenger takes 7 with filter. My '08 Ram 4.7 takes 6 with filter.

Look at the level n the dipstick before you drain into a MARKED bucket, that way you know how many litres corresponds to what level on the dipstick.
Then fill with the factory specified amount and see how it correlates to the dipstick.
Easy

2014 Ram 1500 manual says 7 quarts but I wondered if it was actual.

What size wrench is the drain bolt

It will be metric, the most popular sizes are 13mm - 17mm.

My 2012 Ram 5.7L is 7 quarts with filter, filter size MO-899 / XG2; might be less with a consolidated size filter like QS173 - I never ran a consolidated size filter personally.

A 1/2" socket / wrench works on my oil drain plug.

My 2014 Ram 5.7L takes exactly 7 quarts with filter. Filter is MO-339. Can't remember the drain plug size. Will check later.

Funny, I saw that filter on an auto parts store website but when I called a dealer and told them I had seen 3 or 4 different numbers for the Mopar filters for a 2104 Ram 1500 5.7 hemi he told me there was only one part number. 4892339AA is what he told me. It is Napa Gold 7060, MOBIL M1-113, and the site did not list a Fram Ultra number.

I also came across this, hope it has not already been posted.

You see those numbers ahead of the AA? The last 3 of those are the Mopar MO-xxx part number (339).

Fram Ultra is XG10060.

Glad my 2012 takes a size that's super easy to find. Last of its breed.
