Even a socialist should be able to understand what would have happened if soldiers had not fought the Nazis in WWII. And in wars that were unpopular, like Vietnam, the soldiers did their jobs. If you did not believe in the war, blame the politicians.

Some people here are openly displaying disrespect towards the people who have served their country. They can. It is free speech. But they can live with themselves and I do not respect them.

Some people say we should have a 'pit' here with no moderator intervention and everybody allowed to say what they want to say. I expect to be attacked by the 'flash mob' for the comments I have made here. So where is my free speech if I do get attacked? Or maybe they will attack me at their hate site. At their hate site where they can stereotype people, attack people personally, and publish all kinds of nonsense about people who they do not like and whose views they do not like, and hide behind 'anonymous.'

Not to be disrespectful, but what would of happened if the US troops would of not fight in Vietnam in your opinion?

If that never happened the US would of have :

58,209 less killed soldiers
153,303 less wounded
2,489 less MIA

and the results would of still be the same...

But we can't blame the soldiers for that, can we? I have kind of mixed feelings about the Vietnam War. But regardless if it was justified or not, the soldiers cannot be blamed for that war. If you are going to blame anybody, blame the politicians. The average soldier in Vietnam had nothing to do with the decision to go and fight there. They just did their jobs the best they could.

Blaming the average soldier in Vietnam would be like blaming the average Microsoft employee for Windows 8 issues. The big wheels made the decisions.

Soldiers followed lawful orders, even if the order would surely result in his/her death. That how a soldier is trained to do, follow lawful order at all times.

Vietnam war casualties should be blamed on politicians not on soldiers of any rank. Same for all conflicts the last 25-30 years, Presidents ordered troops into Iraq, Afghanistan, Grenada ... Soldiers just go there and do their jobs.

What's a flesh mob?

You having some trouble with spelling or comprehension Benito? It is flash mob. Look it up on Google. Or since you were asking advice about Bing vs Google, look it up on both those search engines and compare.

Flash mob is spelled with an 'a.'

Flesh is spelled with an 'e.'

Without soldiers where would you be? I say God bless them and thank them for their service. It's too bad our Government no longer takes care of returning Vets. They need all the help we can give them. If you feel otherwise please feel free to move to another country.

Right on....................

I'm more tired of politician worship or athlete worship or movie actor worship...

It's sad that we live in a country that requires donations from private citizens to help our vets while our tax dollars help foreigners and our own people who often are responsible for their own situation (drugs, alcohol etc....)

I couldn't agree more. Military interference in various countries killing the future of various nations all to push an agenda
Soon there won't be an outside enemy and those guns will be turned inwards.
A true patriot isn't fighting these absurd wars justified by lies. They are looking inwards trying to root out these entities that have stolen true democracy from the people.
The fed and their impossible debt choking the country. The builderbergs and their control of all world powers. The people of the world have a common enemy.
And they aren't the Muslims

We didn't believe we had an "outside" enemy in 1996 when Osama bin Laden issued his war against the United States. After the Africa embassy bombings we still didn't realize what was going on. Then the USS Cole being attacked in the port of Aman didn't register either. We didn't realize what he meant until 9\11.
Good bad or indifferent.. There are people out there with bad intentions towards others. They are actively attempting to reach out to people here to carry out "missions" here.

That having been stated, it does certainly apppear our invasion of Iraq has brought about very deleterious effects. There is no question on that result. Now the Iranian government has no real balance to their power in the region. This nation WILL aquire the nuclear capacity in short order. What happens then?? And trust me that the Saudi Arabians don't want that either. Hate to be the bearer of bad news but the table is currently being set for WW3.

Our nation helped the mujahedeen in the 1980s against the Soviets. Seemed like a great idea at the time. Worker perfectly in its net result. We just looked past the fact that these guys would turn into the Taliban and al queda. Just like we failed to see that by taking out the Iraqi government it would lead to a power vacuum in the western portion of their country. Which the radicals in Syria gladly stepped into fill. We just about started to arm these "rebels" against Bashir Assad. Truth of the matter is that our diplomat killed in Libya was in talks to set up arming these "rebels" against Assad. Dead men don't talk.

So, yes, this government of the United States has either made grevious errors or nearly made them in regards to our middle East policy decisions. But the question does remain. At what point do we have to step in because of the very real possibility of a regional conflict spreading into something far worse than that? Add to this the fact we DO HAVE an active enemy recruiting members to carry out attacks in this country. Do we sit back and let them do has they please? Do we appease these people? To what end?

I strongly suggest look at Western Europe in the years prior to WW 2. EVERYONE saw what they saw but no one did anything. Millions upon millions on all sides died because no one did anything. That is where we are headed now. Our common enemy are these subhuman radicals who kill people who don't believe like them, who murder people for being gay, who want to permanently subjugate women for the rest of their natural lives. These "people" are NO different than the waffen SS. Period. And if we aren't careful..... We will see World War Three soon enough.

According to what I am hearing at their hate site they attacked me big time for what I said. The flash mob here didn't show up-at least yet. I guess it would be too obvious. I understand basic anarchist tactics.

If you truly believe that the site you refer to is actually a "hate site" I really do think you need to get out more. Go play in the Pirate 4X4 or Mazdaspeedforums.org off-topic sandboxes and see how long you last. Hate site?
I have to laugh.

As long as you are not being attacked it is all good-right?

But we have done a pretty good job of keeping the internet troll away from this website. He is here now-for now.

If you're being "attacked" why would you contribute/belong/join that website/board?

How do you get any positive benefit out of it? If you get none - don't go there. Out of sight, out of mind.
That simple.

+1 The draft dodging weasels never give up trying to justify why they hid under the bed.

The day to day problems in our first world lives are nothing compared to the horror of war that many people are living with now or have to live with.
SO I suppose you'd rather be speaking German or Japanese?

I was following your logic up until you got to "builderbergs". What's that all about?

Just seems like a meeting of leaders from different walks of life to me.
