with todays direct injected engines oil burning + carboned valves go hand in hand. using the watery x w 20 oils dont help. on girlfriends 13 malibu 2.5 DI engine it used 3 qts or water-oil 5-20 dexos spec oil in 2,000 miles, a switch to a top quality synthetic 10-30 cured that issue!!!!
Aren't BMW's OCI like 20K?
