Decided on a Black and Decker electric trimmer. The HT20.

It seems to work for my needs. As long as I dont try and saw a metal trellis and smoke the motor I should be fine. LOL

yeah, I have just a few bushes to trim and could not see spending a lot on a real expensive unit.

Chain saw is next.

Tell me how long it is before you snip the extension cord with the trimmer?

I only used mine a couple of times before I did that. I have no need for a gas or battery one though.

well, I just trimmed everything and no cord cuts! LOL!
Oh it will happen.

i just have a few bushes to trim so a commercial grade trimmer was not needed.

Now the chain saw is getting how good of one do I need just for storm clean up.

Nothing wrong with the B&D for occasional use. I like to lube mine with dry lubricant for scissors after each use. Keeps it fresh and hasn't gummed it up or anything.

Harbor Freight offers replacement NEMA 5-15R connectors for less than $3, don't ask how I know.

Good to know that. I bought one at Westlakes for like 6 bucks a year or so ago for a repair....
I do need to get some machine oil to lube the blades.
