Which would be best to use every tank? Which would keep the fuel system clean the best? Or should I just use 2 or so ounces of Royal Purple Maxclean every tank?

Startron doesn't offer a UCL capability, or do much cleaning, IMO - its more about cleaning varnishes and ethanol deposits. So Id use that only for fuel that sits a lot.

MMO possibly has some additives in it that Im not keen on burning and having in my cat converter.

Lucas some don't like, but I suspect it has some level of cleaning adds and some heavier hydrocarbon to act as a UCL, so I see it as OK. Honestly if you believe in butt dynos, Ive had good results with this.

I like Redline SI-1 for cleaner with a UCL. They claim it may have some survival through the combustion to clean DI deposits.

If you're using no name gas and want to maintain cleanliness, Gumout Regane, Chevron Techron and Amsoil PI are all good for a maintenance dose. If you want some stabilization and more UCL capability, TCW-3 oil is a good bet, though Im not as sold in using it in DI as I once was.

I also have been a long term fan of Lube Control/Fuel Power, but shipping seems to be prohibitive these days...

The best additive to keep your fuel system clean: http://www.toptiergas.com/retailers/

An ounce of 2-stroker oil is all you need for upper cylinder and valve lube. I have no problem using the Lucas or Marvel. Don't overdose.

Most of the other products are best used as full strength FI/IVD cleaners... every 5k, 10k, 20k.... Use full bottle/can at fill up time.

Sta-Bil Marine or 360 is in everything that I own that doesn't use up a tank of fuel at least once a month.

If you don't or can't use toptier fuel, then ANY of the mentioned FI, IVD, fuel system cleaners can be low dosed. No need to be picky. Use whatever you find locally or on sale.

I don't use anything that claims additional UCL properties, or cleaning properties, period.

Fact is, I'm responsible for the maintenance of 6~8 vehicles typically, and none of them have to go with the extra added fuel-additives that claimed additional lubricity, reduction of fuel pump wear, yadda, yadda.

most of the automobiles I'm servicing are now into their high 100ks, with my wifey's camry leading the way (>214ks), only occasionally sees Techron FIC and that's it.

compressions good, rings good, no oil burning at all (I use PYB or QState Green, go figure) throughout 5K oci.

I would vote redline si1 at maintenance dose for ucl. But only if you can actually feel a difference with your car, with your fuel and with your driving habits.
For example it may idle a bit smoother.

But I agree that the engine isn't going to care or be affected long term, idling a little less smooth is still normal with no damage or difference once the fuel is used up.

So it just matters if the cost in $ and effort has any benefit to you in actual feel and nothing else.
