What is probably the capacity of the lower unit oil in a 2009 50hp Mercury outboard??

I just tried and it's 5pm to find out locally and online I couldn't find a direct answer.

I only have one quart of the premium SAE90 merc brand. Just wanted to see if anyone would know off hand or could search online better to find the answer.

One place I found online said 36ozs but I only bought a quart when I thought that would cover it.

Thanks in advance.

Reasoning is I'm just triple checking.

I had more than enough to cover it.

I think it was 18ozs. I Was hoping it wouldn't have been any more than 32. But now I got plenty for my 15hp evinrude.

When I posted the first time I was in somewhat of a hurry. I took the boat out after new oil for season since we got this boat a month and half ago. And I greased the splines for the prop!

I even added a bilge cleaner and 10-15gals of water to clean up some of the crud and odor from bottom of boat.

16' sea fox '09 model
50hp evinrude
Cruises on calm water at 6,000rpm @28mph

Taking it out tomorrow.

Thanks doublewasp and oilboy.
That's great to know even big motors don't use a lot...
