Get away from a car that you're upside down on?

Hi Ram_Man,

If you really like the Dodge Dart, what I would recommend that you do is find yourself a Dodge Dart forum, and look through any threads it has for common problems and issues, and see if there's any common issues that stand out, and happen frequently.

Then, decide if you can live with that issue, and get it fixed when it comes up.

The next thing that you should do is to either go to a Dodge dealer, and ask if you can do an extended test drive, rent, etc one for a couple of days, so that you can put it through the exact same situations that you are exposing issues with your Ford Focus currently. Make sure the a/c works all the time, for example, and see if the suspension pops.

If you can find a used Dart to test drive, or you can rent one from Enterprise/Avis/Thrifty/etc, that's probably even better, because then you would be able to see how they hold up with some miles on them, and wear on the seats.

I think these are things you should do this time around, to make sure you get a better ownership experience out of it.

And finally, when you go to buy, do your best to get a really good price on the new car, and get a good price for your trade in, and a CarMax evaluation so that you can have an alternative price that you can use to your advantage.

BC.
