2003 Honda Element 180k valve noises

Brother has a 2003 Honda Element EX.
He has it serviced by his dealership.

180k miles.
Never had any engine issues prior to this.
Kept up with scheduled routine maintenance.

It has valve rattle.
Sounds similar to a Diesel truck.
Noise started Thursday, its been about a month since the dealership did an oil change. All Honda parts were used.
Performance seem similar to before the noise.
Oil is not being burned off, and no discoloration.

Any ideas why the sudden change in valve noise?
Any knowledge about these 4 cyl engines?
Just beginning my online research now.

Did the dealership change brands and/or viscosity of oil recently?

^agreed, needs a Valve Lash Adjustment most likely.

But, just for fun, check the oil level. It may be really low, Dealers aren't perfect...

My 03 had a valve adjustment at 110k. Still runs smooth at 227k.

This one had a valve adjustment soon after 100k.
It isn't as loud as the one in the video above.
The sound is more toward the side of the engine with the belts, it might just be a few valves.

It might be time for another adjustment, or it might be on the way.
Valve adjustments are a skill. Some engines more than others.

My brother isn't driving it until he goes and sees his buddy who is a honda mechanic.
