They still exist, and they still are complete garbage.

Don't expect anything they make to last more than one year.
What I hate most are their power steering racks. Often the rack-to-frame bushings are just the old bushings with new paint, and are no longer firm enough to function properly. Other times, the included inner tierod ends already have excess play in them.
Advance often writes their name on that garbage, so I look elsewhere for rebuilt parts.

Anyway, for me:
OEM steering parts if they lasted a long time on the car. MOOG or Raybestos if the OEM parts didn't last.
Bilstein shocks and struts if I can get them.
Duralast Gold brake pads and Raybestos rotors.
OES alternator.
Timing belt and chain parts from the dealer.
OES water pump, unless the factory pump didn't last.
Serpentine belts and V belts from Gates. I use Dayco if there are no Gates belts.
Gates hoses.
OEM PCV valves
Mostly OEM sensors, sometimes I will buy rebuilt MAF sensors.
I usually don't buy OEM fluids unless the aftermarket doesn't make a quality equivalent.

What do you guys like for cv axles? I used to always go with napa but their quality seems to have plunged in the past 5 years.

What about control arms?
