I need to replace my leaking valve covers on my '00 GS300. Oil has leaked all around the spark plugs and filled up the "holes" in this inline 6 cylinder. How in the world do I get this out without it draining down into the cylinders? I'm gonna change the plugs at the same time.

Be really careful with compressed air, lest it sneeze all over your engine. Hold a towel loosely over each hole, then blow a little bit. I used carb cleaner to thin the oil. Wear eye protection.

I just purchased a nice fluid extractor from MityVac that is ideal for what you want to do. A little pricey for a one time need but a handy tool to have around. I used a large animal syringe for several years until the rubber plunger swelled from being exposed to petroleum products. This fluid extractor makes suctioning power steering pump fluid a five minute job.

Just push a blue paper towel (don't use the white ones from the kitchen they break up) down there wipe it around with a long screwdriver and pull it out.
No need to do anything else with brake cleaner, air and the rest of it.

Replace the valve cover gaskets along with the spark plug tube gaskets.

It is will only happen again and eventually cause a no start.
