I believe its one and the same item on my Jeep's engine and yet RockAuto has a few fuel pressure regulators that cost 2X what the filters costs.

A Jeep dealer confirmed its one and the same item and the one I have is only a few months old, but does not appear to be in spec.

Unless my new fuel pressure gauge is off.

Is it under warranty?

Is it after market? Don't know about Cherokees, but Wrangler fuel filters are in the tank.

I installed a WIX on mine September 2013. Just make sure you have the proper fuel line disconnect tools. Ask me how I know.

The WJ also has one inside the tank like the Wranglers, but apparently that one is good for the life of the vehicle/ pump? They say that about the filter you are talking about too though. I removed mine at 150k and it was filled with a coffee/ Guinness Draught blend.

Not too get too OT, but what is better, a 14 year old working factory pump or a new aftermarket pump?
