rolling up on 7k right now and was planning on changing it tomorrow since my mileage would be 137,500 -- put me back on schedule so my next one would be an even 145k @ 7500.
got to thinking though, i might be able to stretch it out to 10k. maybe? I just added another 1/2 quart to bring me back up to the "safe" range (cauz i had to go get some hay bales about 40 miles away).
i like even numbers ... easier to remember.
06 expedition, 5.4. almost exclusively highway miles. not much towing. only a 250 mile trip with my 2000 lbs car trailer (empty one way, bale spear on the way back) and a 80 mile trip to go get some hay bales (empty down, 5000lbs(ish) total on the way back). i drive fairly easy and its 20ish miles one way to work.
just looking for opinions. i've got enough top-off oil to get to the 10k mark (9500 actual to put me back on schedule @ 140k).
in hindsight, for the extra 4 bucks i should have just bought the Edge Gold, which i would probably do next time if i really want to do 10k.
