CARQUEST Wearever Platinum Professional Ceramic Brake Pads .

Akebono pads are my go to for easy of installation and quality. Bought the Wearever at Adavance Auto since I needed a set immediately.

Put them on the rear of a Toyota Avalon and they were hard to install. I had to fight and struggle to get them in. I'll never buy again.

That said, bedded the brakes and everything is OK.

weird, I have them on my 00 Celica GT, just like you, I needed them immediately and they work perfectly, never had akebono to know, but I do have heavy duty rotors, and Cooper CS5 Ultras, maybe they are the reason for the fantastic braking power as well, not sure though.

Mine were branded Wearever Platinum ceramics I got them last year I love them, FF friction rated plenty of stopping power.

Next set of pads I want to try is EBC Ultimax I think they are GG pads.
