Any recommendations for a round LED housing/bulb assembly, DRL only?

This is for a motorcycle application. I wish to use LED's for the amp draw advantages (this motorcycle has a weak charging system, a new charging harness has been constructed and every charging component is brand new except the rotor and I am not paying what Kawasaki wants for a new one.)

I have removed the headlight bulb to keep from killing the battery (the headlamp is the biggest amp draw). This motorcycle is ridden exclusively during the day, so I wish to have at least a DRL to avoid getting pulled over and for visibility purposes.

I am aware of the Truck Lite 7" LED headlamp but that is extremely expensive. I am also aware of H4 LED replacement bulbs but do not want to blind other drivers. 7" would be ideal but I can work with a smaller size.

I did a search for a replacement LED headlight for my Suzuki a while back, I had settled on the truck lites. They're definitely a little pricey (best I found was about $160 for one on eBay), but they seemed to have a decent beam for the price (and I was concerned with maintaining night time driveability).

There are cheaper halogen headlights that have LEDs on the side, maybe you can setup a separate switch for the halogen headlight: http://www.ebay.com/itm/7-DIA-CRYSTAL-HE...8d8&vxp=mtr

Or, maybe you can rig up one of these 4.5" auxiliary lights in the 7" bucket?

edit;
I'm looking around on eBay more, there are a few more designs (straight from china..) than there were last time I looked. Some are in the $115ish range, which is better, but the trucklite models aren't too much more, and I don't know the quality of light from these chinese models.

cheap HID drop-in only pulls 35 watts? Install it and aim the headlamp low since it will vomit light in all directions? stay with color temps closer to 3000 to avoid looking like you're trying to show off?
