Well, well. Nice to see you here.

As far as your question, since we both drive a car with a factory recommended interval of 3000 miles on synthetic oil, it all depends what you call "short".
Which ones are those? Must be high output /stressed engines.

....

But are there people here who believe a fine, high quality synthetic *needs* to be changed at 2k, 3k, or 4k miles? Some people are hung up on peace of mind to the point of it being OCD. And yeah I know, it's your bike , your money, etc.
.

It was moved here because you posted it in the the Motorcycle USED OIL ANALYSIS section. However you do not have a UOA and should not have been posting there/starting a thread.

IF you scroll down past the UOA sections to the section labeled " Motorcycles, Boating, Small Engine, Aviation, Power Sports" you will see a thread just for MOTORCYCLE talk, not UOAs.

As far as your second comment and OCD. Your correct, its their money, their bike and most motorcycle manuals call for 3 to 5,000 mile or at least once a year oil changes. But its no more OCD changing oil then it is washing and waxing a bike, car and truck. Some people enjoy it, you can tell in the forums, who doesnt like changing the oil. *L* BTW, doesnt matter if its a fine high quality synthetic or conventional oil, as who is it that defines which oils are the fine high quality oils you speak of? Marketing literature from the company selling you the product?
