some magazine maybe motor trend last month has to have the dealer lubricate door seals that creaked when the car was driven over dips (like curb cuts/ driveways ) they took it to the dealer who used a BMW product to lube the door seals. what do they use?

I've used Silicone Paste, but also have used Dielectric grease, and most recently, I splurged on some Shin-Etsu grease when I was ordering from the Honda parts store.

It's expensive, but you only need to use the tiniest amount (same goes for the silicone paste and dielectric grease).

Edit: I like to wipe down the seals first with a wet rag to get the dirt off.

Another member here mentioned DOT 5 (silicone) brake fluid. I've used that. It works. I've also used silicone spray on a paper towel for decades. That works, too. The suggestions above are good, too.

Many S2000 owners use this to protect door seals and other rubber parts.

Wurth Silicone Lubricant lasts for 5 years and works amazing as Caliper Slider Pin (Guide Pin) lubricant as well, which is why it is so good as a choice.

The Wurth stuff just takes a bit of time to apply because it is super thick. Only apply it in the Summer.

It lasts 2 years easy on Guide Pins.

Did I mention that it works GREAT as Dielectric Grease as well on Battery Terminals and Coil on Plug boots??

Just amazing stuff, big tube and affordable.

I get it from the local Acura dealer as that is what they use for everything.
