I have a problem. I accidentally put diesel in my car. I used a gas can for diesel and marked it diesel with marker. I put about a gallon in. It was smoking and surging. I added about 6 gallons to dilute it. That helped a little but it still is not right. What do I do? I am thinking run it almost empty and fill with high octane premium fuel to counteract the very low octane of diesel. What do I do?

Will it damage my engine to use up the gas/diesel mix with octane booster?

I have 3 of them. It happened to my 2000 Dodge Stratus 2.4L 4 cylinder though.

Octane booster will do NOTHING. Waste of money. Don't use that junk.

Why not just fill it all the way up with gas.

High octane isn't going to change anything here.

I'd just fill the tank to dillute it as much as possible. Worse case you kill the converter.

Like when the AAP employee siphoned out your power steering fluid as revenge because you wanted to return spark plugs?

Troll.
