Having replaced all hoses and the surge tank I've been checking the coolant level several times first in the morning where the coolant is at the max cold level. When it's at operating temp, the level drops an inch below the max fill line and sometimes the "Low Coolant" light comes on and the reservoir is dry. I turn off the engine and the surge tank fills up with coolant up to the max fill line. I was thinking of adding coolant when hot so the level does not get way too low when at operating temp.
