Nissan cars are apparently improving their build quality.

The new 2013 Renaultsport Clio has the same engine, and I suspect that will be specced for a full synthetic ELF product.


I researched the vehicle a little before I bought it and yes, Renault did have quite a bit of input in the engine design. You'd never know that here in North America as the word "Renault" brings up horrid memories of the Kenosha, Wisconsin built AMC/Renault Alliance (R9) and Encore (R11).

In Switzerland Nissan uses 15'000 km as OCI. Even though my owner manual states that 30'000 is possible the dealership explicitely told me that the interval is 15k.

And yes, our fuels are EURO 5 as in EU.
