Since I'd seen the plug, I was wondering if GM finally put the FIAT engine in the cruze aswell. I was gonna ask for a picture of the valve cover, but Wikipedia came to the rescue. It is indeed a FIAT engine, similar/near identical to the one in my Alfa Romeo
About the red text above: of course you can lose the gasket if you remove the drain plug, theinstructions are meant for a doofus... Alfa Romeo dealer installs a complete new plug, btw...
