Hope there is a little guidance out there..
I have a custom sports car with a Toyota C160 manual 6 speed transmission with LSD. It has become difficult to shift recently, and after a hard track session, unusually difficult to select neutral. I cannot find any reference to the specified fluids, although have been told variously that Castrol Syntrans LS 75w90 should work. This has been discontinued, and replaced by Syntrax LS75w140.

Alternatively, I have been told that an ATF would work, as it would be compatible with the LSD clutches. Can anyone offer any clarity/confirmation on this?

As I am in South Africa, my access to exotic oils is somewhat limited, with Castrol, Fuchs/Titan and LiquiMoly as my primary choices.

Many thanks in anticipation.

Find a fluid that says GL-4 on the bottle. If Castrol Syntrans LS 75w90 says GL-4 on the bottle, use it. ATF fluid is not a good choice.

if it's hard to shift into neutral check the clutch. it may be worn and not disengaging properly.
