Found non Ecore PF47s at AA

I found 3 non EcorePF47 filters. Was wondering if someone can tell the manufactur date. I'm crossing my fingers they are going back.

I would say that 14314af could mean ... looking at the "4" and the "314".

314th day of 2004

or

314th day of 2014

How old do you think they are? If they look pretty old, then it's probably 2004.

They look pretty new but all the ac Delco filters are on the top shelf above the Purolator and Mobil 1 so maybe they are just old stock.

What's the copyright date on the box? If it's really old, like around 2004 +/- a few years, then they could be that old.

I'd say based on the copyright date it's a 2004 date code. AC Delco has certainly changed the box design since 1995, and probably even after 2004.

No, all the AC Delcos I have bought the last couple years have had 1995 on the box. I thought the same thing as you. Pf48 for my truck started in 07 so thats how I know.

I just picked up a couple PF47's from Advance and they are the non-ecore as well. Date code is 15043AF. Based on your code, OP, I'll say it translates to 2015, 43rd day of the year, and AF must be line and shift codes.

1995 copyright date on my boxes, but filters are certainly not that old.

Advance Auto also sells the little longer PF 47 in non-Ecore.... the PF 52. They been in stock for years.
