Memorial Day photos

This is the memorial for my great uncle, Capt. John Phelps. He was killed Oct. 18, 1918, less than a month before the Armistice. He was doing his his part to break the German army, and I'll be keeping his sacrifice in mind this weekend. He's buried at the Meuse-Argonne cemetary in France. I hope to visit someday and pay my respects.

I've shared wartime photos of relatives here before, and I'll invite anyone to share photos or stories here again.
