Changed the oil in my atv about two weeks ago. The old oil was yamalube in I guess 10w40 because that's what's specced.

I used rotella t6 and a fram xg7317.

Highly recommended so far. Engine is much smoother with less vibration.

I'd you're not familiar kymco builds all the 500 and below artic cats.
 
Out of curiosity, how often do you change oil in an ATV? Do they have timers or do you go by milage? Does it run a wet clutch, like some bikes? I know a bit about cycles but nothing about ATV motors.
 
Mine has a shared sump with the cvt. The yamalube the dealer uses is nothing special but meets the jaso like the t6.

As far as oci goes I just do once a year because most of my riding is low rpm around our 5 acres riding the kids.

with atvs most use hours to measure oci because of lots of low speed high rpm.
