One of my good friends has wanted to get a bike for a while now. He ended up purchasing a brand new FZ6R today for his first bike. I tried to convince him to get a cheap 250 to start off with and learn on, but im still glad he got a bike and it is what he wanted.
We live on the ohio river in Indiana and he bought the bike in Zulu Indiana close to Fort Wayne. I ended up riding the bike back home for him all 4 hours as he doesn't have an endorsement yet and didn't feel confident in Indianapolis traffic on a Friday night. It had 4 miles on it when we left the dealer and 249 when we arrived back at his house tonight. nothing like braking it in all in one trip
His bike is a 2014 and mine is a 2012. Noticeable differences are the gauge cluster as well as the graphics. His 2014 has an updated white illuminated tach and the graphics are a great improvement over my 2012. the 14 also has dunlop tires where my 12 has bridgestones. The dunlops seem to ride harsher and track different than my bridgestones, but not in a bad way. they seemed to do well. It was a pleasure to ride back, it felt just like home.
