Does anyone know of a website or something of the likes where I can look up what make and model of transmission a specific vehicle has?

More Specifically, I'm trying to figure out what transmission is in a six speed 2006 ford five-hundred. All I know is it's made by Aisin.

I'd look up the filter part number then reverse engineer what said filter fits.

Go to any Chrysler dealer to the service dept with the VIN and ask for a STAR report. It will tell you everything that went into the vehicle at the factory. I have one for each of my Chrysler vehicles.

I looked in his signature. You are right he has a Ford (fix or repair daily).

For fords, you can get its etis report ( similar to what the Chrysler guy mentioned above) here:
Go to etis.ford.com, then click on the vehicle tab. Then input the VIN. it will tell you have every thing that car rolled off the line with, where that line was, and what day it was ( in euro format dd/mm/yy) for free.

ok. I can tell i typed that 1) in a Hurry, 2) on my phone..

the Proper address is http://www.etis.ford.com/ (and yes, having the http://www. out front does matter)

Then Click the Vehicle Tab, then enter the VIN in the box marked "VIN Entry", then Search.

you should get a screen like this:
Etis%252520Example%2525201.jpg

Then Click on this Drop down (Circled in Red):
Etis%252520Example%2525202.jpg

and the Result is like this PDF (my Car, hopefully with the VIN blacked out.)
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_xZhNFCp6tXaFVzRklJVGhQM28/view?usp=sharing

and Keep in Mind this is a Ford Europe Site, so the build Date is in a European Date Format (DD/MM/YYYY)
Citing my car as an example, the Etis Report shows 02.09.2008
That is September 2nd, 2008, not the Ninth of Feb. (this became painfully obvious when i ran the report on my mom's Taurus, which was built on 29.09.2008, and last i checked, there aren't 29 months in a year.)
