Fine UOA. I do not understand the brand jumping after only one OCI. But I am sure R.L. will work just fine after a clean and rinse OCI.

Thanks guys, should be getting another uoa back soon with the same RP HPS 10w40 to compare to this one. Then I will be sending off the Redline 10w40 after I do my next oil change

The oil sheared a little but wear is still good, I wouldn't go any thicker than this since the engine doesn't seem to mind. You might even be able to use a 10w30 synthetic if you have a good oil pressure gauge. Maybe consider Mobil 1 0W40

RP HPS 10w40 starts out at 13.6 cSt @100C, and this sample sheared down to 11.44 cSt. That's about 16%, and is well into being a 30-weight. I've seen other samples of RP that sheared a lot, but some that didn't. Since RP doesn't publish HTHS values, I don't use their motor oils.

I think the RL 10w40 will do better on shear. From my experience with RL, the Kinematic Viscosity actually increases with use.
