Hey all, I've got two oil samples since I last posted here. The first sample was using unknown oil, possibly Pennzoil 5w20. The last two samples were using Valvoline Conventional 5w30.

My prior sample seemed to have an issue with fuel dilution at 1.5%.

This went away with the latest sample, as the latest UOA found no detectable fuel.

My driving pattern changed a bit between samples; the lastest sample has fewer short (~5mile) trips compared to the other samples. Perhaps this is what caused the fuel dilution issue to go away?

You could go 7500 miles without batting an eye. I mean seriously thej oil looks like new oil. I would prefer an oil with a stronger additive package like Yellow Bottle Pennzoil. But whatever this one is doingj fine bc your engine is fine.

Thanks for the input, Al.

I wouldn't feel too comfortable going too much past 3500 miles, because there seems to be slight fuel contamination apparent by the reduced flashpoint of 385 degrees. Also, the oil's viscosity seems to be a bit sheared down as well.
