Cleaning a throttle body?

Are there any additives that can be added into the gas tank that will completely clean a throttle body?

That will only clean the fuel path. On a dry intake plenum ( mpfi or di) you need a spray cleaner, best done when the engine is cold.

There are multiple brands you can find at most auto stores of Throttlebody/Carb cleaners. Just follow the instructions on the can. I've used seafoam and berrymans chemtool with no problems.

I use the spray can. Take off the air box and hold the plenum butterfly valve open with a screw driver handle. Spray in there and wipe clean with rags. Don't go crazy with the spray; it will make it hard to start the car at first.
