Swung by the tulip festival in Holland, MI today. Maddening crowds, but we managed. Last year this time, the tulips weren't even blooming because we had such late Spring. This year, many of them were already past bloom...

Very nice. There's a town in Iowa with extensive Dutch heritage (Pella) that puts on a tulip display every year. We try to get there every 2 or 3 years.

It was a sunny day. Plenty of sunlight. I was using a 17-70mm lens with a polarizing filter.

Focal Length: 70mm (35mm equivalent: 105mm)
Aperture: ƒ/4.0
Exposure Time: 0.0050 s (1/200)
ISO equiv: 100
Exposure Bias: none
Metering Mode: Matrix
Exposure: aperture priority (semi-auto)
White Balance: Auto
Flash Fired: No

Awesome shots! That aperture MADE those shots!

Good idea with the polarizer...I generally use one for all of my outdoor shooting.

That last one is especially neat how you were able to basically eliminate the crowd in the background....great job...and beautiful.

I wondered if you'd used a filter, polarisers are great but I don't get on so well with ND filters.
Great shots man, keep 'togging!
