I have worked with many police over the past 30 years and I have found the vast majority to be great people committed to serving their community. It is a shame a few possible bad ones have overshadowed this in the news lately.

This happened over in Des Moines a few days ago. In the middle of a busy freeway/interstate exchange a driver from Oklahoma had a stroke. The trooper put his own life at risk by getting out and rendering first aid.

Note that when the incident happened, rather than continue blasting past, people actually stopped to help, and all traffic behind it stopped out of courtesy.
