Restoring Lost FF Tab-Groups

I'm using FF36 under WXP. I've had no issue with it re-opening tab groups when shutting down the machine or closing FF. Recently though, I installed JAVA 7u80 and when FF was restarted, all of my tab groups were gone?? I don't understand the cause/effect here?

I looked in the Mozilla folder to see if these tab-groups were stored somewhere, but no joy. I also didn't see them listed under History, as it only goes back to April?? I recall it used to go back further in earlier editions of FF.

The important ones were bookmarked and tagged, however I'm curious where FF keeps track of tag groups?

Any ideas?

If the .js extension does not show on your sessionstore.js file, not session.js, you should turn off Windows hiding of file extensions long enough to confirm the existence of the file.

If sessionstore.js is missing close Firefox and then rename sessionstore.bak to sessionstore.js to see if Firefox can read it when it starts again.

If that does not work then it's time to get going with Google.
