MAG 1 FMX 5w-30 Full Synthetic

I came across some today at a local grocery store for $5/quart

Mag 1 makes great stuff.

That FMX is probably the same if not very similar to many house brand syns. For example, Walmart syn is most likely rebranded Mag 1.

Do they still use the clear bottles? Because clear bottles are awesome.

Not a bad price if your goal is to avoid Walfart.

FWIW I was told by Warren that Mag 1 is their top tier oil. Most house brands they make including Super Tech are closer to Warrens Accel line although many specs seem the similar.

MAG 1 is a solid group III oil, I wouldn't hesitate to use it for standard OCI's. It's at least as good as other "house brand" synthetic oils.

Their Mag 1 "Dexos" has good numbers I think. It is a separate oil line.
