Hello everyone. I just joined been reading stuff randomly for a bit.Really been researching oil a lot lately.

I have a 2013 Ford Taurus SHO 3.5L ecoboost awd. It does have a RX catch can on the car too. The car has alsmot 20k miles on her. It sat on dealer lots for almost a year before i bought her and had higher mileage. I don't remeber the exact amount but i think it was around 600??? I changed the FF before 1500 miles with a free oil change with ford 5w30 synthetic. It has had two more oil changes running RP5w30 that i got a decent deal on. The second OCS i got my 6th quart free and pick of any filter as the included filter i believe K&N was out of stock.

They like to dirty up the PTU/transfer case really bad and it was a time for an oil change. I decided to use LM products. Didnt some basic research on them, Amsoil, Redline, and PUP and some others. But i thought i should try out one brand for everything this time.
I bought the fluids from napa and got a 20% last month with a special.

And i also bought a Napa PFL 47502 Platinum Filter

Is there any issues to using the fluids in the Ford. My one concern i have unearthed is that the motor oil is an ACEA C3 oil that is a low SAPS formula. It is API SN approved however and that is the important thing and the correct weight of 5w30.

But i have seen some research and or thoughts that the low SAPS formulas are good for DI turbo motors. To the point of limiting deposit build up on the valves and other areas.

Thank in advance for any thoughts and comments.

I've used LM products before. I haven't done any UOAs with it but it's spoken highly of at my local NAPA.

As far as intake deposits go: I'd invest in an induction bottle or make your own + get some good fuel system cleaner. Perform regularly or invest in an inspection camera and clean as needed

Longtime High Tech 5W-30 is a low SAPS oil. Given the sulfur content in the fuel, unless you're in CA or NY, I would shorten the drain intervals. Otherwise, it's a very good oil for this application.

I live in Colorado. do run premium fuel but its limited to 91 octane. I do sometimes add a couple gallons of 100 octane before going to the strip and also I have a tune for an E85 mix. The mix goal is 30% ethanol.

My current oil changes have happened around 5k miles 6 months and or around 50% oil life on the in car olm. what ever happens First. would shorter 3k again be needed?

I am running LM 2039 in two of my vehicles currently. No UOAs yet as this is my first run of this oil. So far no complaints and I really haven't noticed any difference and won't until I have a UOA to compare the LM against my previous fill. My last two fills prior to LM were Amsoil SS. I'll rack up enough mileage in about another 8 months and then I'll post my results in the UOA section.

Take it up to 3,000 miles, change the oil and take a sample for analysis, then take it from there.
