Hello everyone, here we have a FL-500S from a 2012 Tahoe 5.3 v-8 engine and roughly 8,400~ miles. No idea who installed this also and one of our work vehicles. Said on sticker they used GULF pride semi-syn 5w30. Odd date code as you can see on some end.

Just kidding. In all seriousness great engine and great filter. Looks like it did well.

Yeah, looks like it did good. I hear and read good things about the GULF PRIDE oils also. I believe member Salv; the shop he works at uses this great oil.

Beats an E-Core...and I have no loyalty to either company, I buy the vehicle I like best.

Can anyone here de code the date of manufacture on dome end? Never saw MC filter that has # code on dome end

Totally agree. With GM switching over to ecore on the PF63 for my 14 Silverado I'd do the Motorcraft over one of the plastic center tubes as well.

BTW Just kidding on the auto brand loyalty. I've driven both bowties and blue ovals and more than my fair share of Subies as well.
