My filter guy that supplies me with my oil filters (Wix) dropped off a new purolator classic oil filter L10111 Date Code Fo1G 12B1 Because he was out of the wix in that number and we needed one in a pinch. We decided not to use it anyway. We went and got an ac delco non e-core and installed that. I want to cut the new purolator open and see how things look does anyone know what date and year this filter was made?

I don't think you are going to see anything different compared to what we've already seen from unused Puro cans. I'd suggest using that bad boy and see how good/bad it looks after 5k (if you are willing to take a chance on it).

Made on a Monday. The workers were likely hung over after a week end. I wouldn't use it.
