Car Mechanic Simulator 2015 (Video Game)

I've never played this game, which was released today, or last year's version, but it looks pretty cool:

This is one of those games that I just say why? But then again I hated the sims... was too much work.

OTOH I loved building cities in simcity

Someone needs to make a service where you can rent access to sims for like $5/week per game. I usually mess around with them for a few days or maybe if it's good a couple weeks, and it makes me not want to pay $30-60 that some of them cost when they come out.

Can you charge for a repair and not perform it?? If yes then it is a very realistic simulator.

I saw a video game where kids could pretend to drive a battery powered radio control car around.

Why not just get a turbo hopper (tm)?

This game is awesome. Demo just ended but I'll probably splurge and get the full updated version. A must for any BITOG member.

We had something in the same vein when I was with Ford (during the '90s).

It was a whole training series on CDs that started with reading the RO, pulling in the car, verifying the concern, and selecting the correct diagnoses, select the data you wanted, pinpoint testing, and eventually the fix. It was a bit harder for us older techs to use as we had to "unlearn" a bit of our diagnostic procedure to follow the "ideal" procedure to find a fix. Not exciting, no graphics to speak of, but it did teach though.
