2001 Nissan Xterra 2.4 L, misfire code P0301

Getting this reading, 1/2 P0301 Cylinder 1 Misfire Detected Confirmed, on my scanner.
Have 310,000 miles on my Nissan Xterra

My Xterra is running fine, recently changed plugs (calls for platinum) and wires
Not getting any hesitation or bad mileage.

Everything seems to be OK but the code indicates something else.
Code was cleared and it came back

What could be causing this code to pop up

Don't those have a distributor? Did you replace the cap with rotor?

Sometimes the problem is a failed distributor, and you end up with 2 options:
1. Spend a huge amount of money on a new one
2. Get a rebuild, and replace it once a year.

Yes it does have a distributor.

Xterra running excellent, so I don't think its the distributor or cap/rotor
