Fellow campers, I'm looking for ideas around the Ithaca area. Robert Treman, Buttermilk Falls, or Taughannock Falls; is one better than the others for tent camping?

Thanks.

I grew up not far from there. An early morning swim in the lake gets the blood flowing!

I've heard that Tremain is pretty good for tent camping. It's flat and relatively close to the southern parts of Ithaca. There is a Wegmans nearby, as well as an EMS and Wal-Mart.

Thanks for the responses. I was leaning towards Taughannock Falls so I could get in an early morning swim across the lake. I'm still undecided.

I've been to Treman but not the other two.

The best feature about the place is the awesome swimming area. The rest of it is pretty so-so.
