Im thinking about buying a new Mercedes E Class wagon. Savings is about 2,500 over buying one stateside, and they waive the destination charge. I've got plenty of FF miles to get me and the Mrs to Stuttgart. Any thoughts?

I have a co-worker who took three weeks off of work, and took delivery of a C350 at the plant.

From just seeing the pictures, it definitely appears to be worth it.

She said the worst part is turning the car back in, and then waiting the several weeks it will take for it to be imported into the states, and then transported to the dealer... so you can have it back again.

Yup... it's basically a no-cost way to spend some time in Europe... tour the factory, drive on the AutoBahn, do some sightseeing. If I had the time, I'd definitely consider it. It's a rarity these days as many of the Euro models are now made in North America, so no Euro delivery.
