Baby Eagles

I have watched the Decorah Eagles for a few years now, but had not looked at the site in a few weeks. I was pleasantly surprised to see (I think) 3 baby eagles this morning (it could be only two--Mother Eagle takes up most of the space). Enjoy!

Eagles are truly awesome. Their nests are preyed upon by crows, also very intelligent birds, who work together to accomplish their predation. The stories of their aerial conflicts, of crows surrounding and ganging up on eagles, only to be blindsided by the eagles' mate coming to the rescue, are common...and fascinating...inspiring even...

As a fighter pilot, were I to be reincarnated, I would want to be an eagle...

Several years ago I watched an eagle try to catch a couple of ducks . The eagle tried and tried ,the ducks would dive under water ,after about 15 minutes the eagle gave up and went on the hunt for an easier meal.
