Actually it seems like the employees are pretty well trained compared to what you might find at iffy Lube. However, the CEO is totally a clueless wonder, who has no understanding of what his own employees actually do, why did the company choose this guy?

Some hilarious moments to be had when watching. I believe this program airs on the W Network in Canada.

I hate this show, why does a CEO need to know how to do an oil change?

Would the guy in the pit be successful as a CEO for a day or have any clue?

Not to mention the inequitable you-win-the-lottery style of charity at the end. There are probably hundreds more employees that could better use 1/10th of the help to live out of poverty.

The show seems to have been designed by CEO's to justify their huge compensation packages.

You don't think that the person that is responsible for ALL
company operations from top to bottom and makes a small fortune shouldn't be interested in how things work?. For example he learned that there was no or inadequate lighting for the person in the pit to properly do their job. Now he know he needs to improve that lighting.

Actually, now he knows his middle managers are useless for refusing obviously necessary requests.

Exactly. It comes across as little more than propaganda.

No, he should concentrate on running the company that's what the share holders are paying him to do.

The captain responsible for steering the ship can't be mopping out the bilges at the same time.

Who said he's supposed to do that all the time. Point is
a man steering the ship needs to know how it all works so that he can keep it running properly even when he doles out the management to others because it isn't uncommon for those who have these delegated duties to not carry them out properly and how else is the cap't going to know when those underlings as failing at their jobs?
