I also switched the coils around and put the coils from the non-misfiring cylinders on the misfiring cylinders and the misfires stayed in cylinders 2 & 3 so it's not the coils.

I also found out from the owner that the car had been overheated early on in their ownership due to his wife running over something in the yard that punctured the radiator and she drove it awhile before noticing it.

I guess this could have caused some of these later problems.

Switched coils onto what? An Ignition Control Module? If any of the coils are not firing when plugged into the same ICM slot, it's your ICM. Been there done that.

This car has coil on plug ignition so I just moved the coils that were plugged into cylinders 2 & 3 to 1 & 4 and moved those to cylinders 2 & 3 and the misfires still were going on in 2 & 3.
