It does seem reasonable that a higher flash point oil would burn off less oil high on the wet cylinder wall. Not much diff between M1 and Castrol on this, slim anyway.

Really?
Can't say that I've ever seen NOACK numbers in any Blackstone oil analysis.
Maybe via top of someone's head?


I have a spreadsheet I've been compiling the last few months. That was the note I wrote in the spreadsheet some time ago. I'll see if I can hunt down that report.

That Blackstone note was a mistake. My note said, "From non-mobil 1 source." I shouldn't have said Blackstone because I didn't attribute the source and I can't edit that original post.
