It's the factory fill for the Nissan GTR and used in other high performance cars. It can handle heat and racing.
The BM is 20 years old. Did you notice?
So? LL-01 is now a 14 year old spec and yet still "current"
And engines like the BMW haven't changed in 20 years?
They've become harder on oil, and subsequently the spec has evolved to keep up with this. Ultimately, this makes these lubricants (LL-01) better than the oils recommended for earlier BMW's, and this is why BMW has recommended these lubricants for the older cars.
Ultimately the oil is probably overkill in every sense of the word for this car. But the oil is also a fantastic bargain given its price and performance. I cannot see a reason NOT to use it in this application.
