Anyone notice from watching that famous British TV show that some European cars flash their lamps, apparently, when the stability control is triggered?

I think that it's due to the LED lamps being controlled with a PWM signal (effectively turning them on and off at high rates to make them look dim to the eyes).

The LEDs flash at different rates than the camera's frame rate, so sometimes, especially when they do the slow motion scenes, the camera can catch frames in the off time of the LED's duty cycle.

Yes, on some cars, the brake lamps will actually flash under high rates of braking. This is most common on more expensive European makes. I'm not sure if any American or Asian branded cars are doing this yet.
