Why?
Low mileage OCIs do not represent a loading issue by any stretch.
Even cellulose will last 3 years easily.
So there is no "need" for such an expensive filter.

and Ill tell you why

1, Cost
2, Easy to find.
3, Time proven to work with pictures to prove.

Two years?.... OK..... three years?..... too long. Every time I've removed a filter that's been on for three years, it's always rusted. We are talking municipals that use salt in the winter.

Plus, if it's taking three years to pile-on 5-6K, you have a-lot of fuel and possibly even a little coolant contamination in that oil, from short travel use.

Don't wait longer than two years to change that oil folks. Not if the vehicle is being run weekly. Sure, there are real-world instances where no filters have rusted in three years and no contamination occurred, but that's not the norm.
