Would it be ok to collect a oil sample from the filter just wondering since it would be alot easier than pumping it out or trying to drain just a little oil
Contact the lab you're doing the UOA through. I believe someone recently posted a UOA where they forgot to capture a sample after draining the oil, so they contacted the UOA company and they said it wasn't ideal but you can collect a sample from the filter area.
I'd suggest contacting Blackstone or whoever you're doing your UOA through and they should be able to answer better than us speculating.
