Why MB-approval 229.51 and 229.52 oil can not be used in gasoline engine except Western Europe? Because of the fuel?

Higher sulfur gasoline may cause premature TBN depletion.

it is higher, true, but how much higher? look it up and you may be surprised.. so, if the sulfur content is truly determining factor, what do we do with those vehicles here? The folks who are proclaiming TropArctic or TGMO superiority disregard an astonishingly high sulfur content there. I realise, the application is different, and this may a key. Don't buy those engines here, or, if you buy, don't drive short trips at all.

How do you cope with this drama in Australia, where the sulfur content in the fuel is yet higher?
