Any of you guys have experience with oil catch cans and their effectiveness on DI Turbo Diesel engines?
Im asking since i have a Toyota and after lurking some forums, it seems that lots of diesel engines suffer from clogged intake valves and intercoolers due to the exhaust gases being recirculated to the intake manifold to reduce emissions but the downside is that it clogs up the engine. (Specially engines with EGR systems)

So are these catch cans "worth it"?
I plan to keep my current Toyota for a very long time.

A catch can addresses one area of concern, the other is the EGR system. That can be a big problem, plug things up and is more difficult to deal with in late model diesel models. At least from the info I gathered.
